    It holds my 600 pound bike with my 180 pounds on it. No problem.

    If there is concern, you can add a couple pieces of angle iron to the edges of the extension to reinforce it. After all, it is only a 3/4″ piece of plywood. Be sure you orient it with the “grain” of the plywood running “north – south”…..There is a weight bearing direction to all plywood.
