Well, the shadows are getting longer and the Woodcock Rifle Range Egg Shoots come to a close with the Ray Piche Memorial Egg Shoot.
This shoot turned out to be one of the most difficult of the season. The winds were blowing 10-15 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph! And try to figure out where the wind is blowing from. Very poor shooting conditions. But the boys were up to the task and the eggs didn’t stand a chance.Heres the tale of the tape…….CUSTOM RIFLE 200 YDS…

He shot 15 eggs using 23 rounds. The next closes, using a $2500 custom rifle in 6BR shot 14 with 23 rounds. Great shooting Ron. In the Factory 200, Bob Lis also used a Savage stainless/synthetic 12FVSS in 22-250 caliber, shot 15 eggs with 17 rounds in pretty nasty conditions. Well, that’s it for this year.
