Once again, the weather cooperated nicely. The shooters that showed up on Mothers Day were treated to a great shoot. Here’s the “tail of the tape”….300 Yard Custom Rifle………………..Gary Maciel shooting his XP-100 actioned 6BR. This is one of those guns that just won’t quit!300 Yard Factory Rifle………………..Bobby Newman is back! His 40X in 308 was “on”.200 Yard Custom Rifle………………..Randy Costa using Ray Piche’s PacNor barreled 6BR took his second 200 yd custom in a row. Ended up getting himself in a four way shoot-off to win it. Tom Meyers and Randy went back and forth some 17 times without missing. Tom’s 280 Ackley was up to it’s usual fantastic accuracy. Amazing performance for a “boomer”. But in the end, Kane’s father wasn’t to be beat. Great shooting Randy!200 Yard Factory Rifle…………………Speaking of Shoot-Offs, George Harrison shooting his 40X in 308 against me with my Cooper Model 21 in 221 Fireball. George was the winner, but what do you expect, he was shooting 168 grain bullets against my 40 grainers! We ended up shooting back and forth for quite some time. Just like the old days, huh George? Great shooting….100 Yard Scoped Pistol………………..Ray Piche with his TC in 223 took the honors this time. I shot my TC in 222 but it just didn’t have the accuracy I needed to hold Ray off. I’ll be back…..Some folks seem to think the next Egg Shoot is on Fathers Day………….I’m here to tell you is is NOT on Fathers Day, it is on June 24th. The Sunday after Fathers Day.Bring your friends, bring your fathers, bring your fathers friends, I don’t care who you bring, But be there! By the way, Where the Hell is Maureen!
